Arrival/Route

Your Hotel in Kathmandu

Pisang Peak climbing begins in the village of Pisang and was first ascended by J. Wellen from Germany in 1955. Considered one of the easier climbing peaks in the Annapurna Region, the journey to the base camp involves ascending through sparse woods and pastures to a Kharka at 4,380 meters, which is ideal for setting up camp. A high camp is established at 5,400 meters on the south-west ridge, where snow can be found from late November to late March. Standing at 6,091 meters, Pisang Peak, with its distinctive pyramid shape, offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains, including Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Annapurna II, Annapurna IV, and Gangapurna, making it a memorable destination for climbers. The trek not only provides physical challenges but also an enriching cultural experience as it traverses diverse landscapes. After summiting, the descent leads to the renowned Muktinath Temple via Thorong La Pass at 5,416 meters, followed by a trek to Jomsom. The adventure concludes with a scenic flight from Jomsom to Pokhara and a drive back to Kathmandu, leaving climbers with lasting memories of their journey.
