Dhampus Peak lies northeast of big Dhaulagiri region along with Kaligandaki river that flows at the buttom. Dhampus peak climbing is an easy mountain technically. It is also called 'Thapa peak climbing'. Dhampus Peak climbing is suitable for climbers looking to obtain an adventurous trekking. The Dhampus peak climbing route goes through the natural environment with terraced rice fields, colorful Rhododendron forest, artistic waterfalls, pristine Rivers and striking glimpse of the numerous beautiful snowcapped peaks. Dhampus peak a very spot to observe the scenery from which you can enjoy with various mountains such as Dhaulagiri (height 8167m), Tucuche Peak (height 6920m) and other attractive mountains. You can have experience of the biggest mountain ranges in the world with an uninterrupted height between seven thousand and eight-thousand-meter high. The Himalayas including Annapurna 1,2,3,4, Annapurna south, the Nilgiris and Tilicho Peak tower above the horizon in the south. Climbing starts from Tukuche (3500m), that makes you feel that you are going very higher.

1Day 01-Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to respective hotels
Upon your arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, one of our representatives will warmly welcome you and assist with your transfer to your hotel. After settling in, you'll have the opportunity to meet your fellow travelers during an orientation session. We'll conclude the evening with a delightful welcome dinner featuring authentic Nepali cuisine, setting the stage for an unforgettable journey ahead!
2Day 02-Kathmandu sightseeing and prepare for the trek
You'll have a free day in Kathmandu, starting with a half-day guided tour of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Visit the sacred Pashupatinath Temple, a major Hindu pilgrimage site, and then explore Bouddhanath, home to one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world. In the afternoon, you'll have free time for your own activities—perhaps shopping for trekking gear, exploring local markets, or relaxing at a café—as you prepare for the trek ahead. It’s a perfect opportunity to soak in the vibrant culture of Kathmandu!
3Day 03-Kathmandu to Pokhara (915m)
Very early in the morning, after enjoying your breakfast, your trek guide will pick you up from your hotel for your journey to Pokhara. You can choose to travel by air or by an AC tourist bus. If you opt for the bus, you'll enjoy a scenic 5-6 hour drive alongside the Trishuli River, with stunning mountain views along the way. Alternatively, if you choose to fly, the trip will take just 35 minutes, offering a quick and picturesque route to your destination. Upon arrival in Pokhara, you'll check in and stay overnight, allowing you to relax and soak in the beautiful surroundings before your trek begins.
4Day 04-to Nayapul or beyond and trek to Ulleri 1,960 m - 06 hrs
After a pleasant night in Pokhara, you’ll start your day with a short drive to Nayapul, or further to Bhirethati village, a charming spot along the Modi River. Your trek begins with a gentle uphill trail that winds through picturesque farm villages, where you can enjoy views of cascading waterfalls and lush farmland. As you continue, you’ll enter a forested area before climbing towards Tirkhedhunga, a lovely farm village near beautiful waterfalls. From Tirkhedhunga, you’ll ascend a series of stone-paved steps leading up the hill to Ulleri village. This part of the trek can be challenging, but the effort is rewarded with stunning vistas. Ulleri is a large Gurung and Magar village that offers breathtaking views of the rolling hills and majestic snow-capped peaks, including Annapurna South, Huin Chuli, and the iconic Machhapuchare Himal. You'll spend the night here, soaking in the scenery and resting for the next day’s adventures.
5Day 05-Trek to Ghorepani 2,880 m - 05 hrs.
After a restful night in Ulleri, you'll embark on a delightful morning trek along a gentle path through lush oak, pine, and rhododendron forests. This scenic route gradually gains altitude as you make your way to Ghorepani village. Ghorepani is renowned for its stunning views of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, and Vara-Shikar (Annapurna Fang). The village features charming blue-painted houses that serve as comfortable lodges, nestled at the base of Poon Hill. Here, you'll find a vibrant community of the Poon people, part of the Magar ethnic tribe. Once you arrive, take a moment to soak in the breathtaking scenery and prepare for the next day's adventures, including a memorable visit to Poon Hill for sunrise.
6Day 06-Morning hike to Poon Hill 3,210 m) continue trek to Tadapani 2,630 m- 05 hrs.
You’ll start your day early with an invigorating hour-long hike to the top of Poon Hill, standing at 3,210 meters (10,531 feet). This vantage point offers breathtaking views of the sunrise over a stunning range of mountains, including Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Manaslu, and the Annapurna massif, stretching all the way to Ganesh Himal and the iconic Machhapuchare, known as "The Fish Tail." After enjoying the magnificent sunrise and capturing unforgettable photographs, you’ll make your way back to Ghorepani for breakfast. Then, you’ll continue your trek toward Tatopani, a village known for its natural hot springs. After a rewarding day of hiking, you’ll spend the night in Tatopani, where you can relax and unwind, perhaps even taking a dip in the soothing hot springs!
7Day 07-Tatopani to Ghasa [2,110m/6,922ft]: 5-6 hrs
The trail from Tatopani continues alongside the Kali Gandaki River, which flows through one of the world’s deepest gorges, flanked by towering peaks over 8,000 meters that are just 38 kilometers apart. As you trek, you’ll pass by the charming village of Dana and reach Rupse Chahara, a stunning waterfall, and Kopche Pani. The journey then ascends toward Ghasa, a picturesque Thakali village known for its breathtaking views and rich biodiversity. Ghasa is a haven for bird watchers, offering a chance to spot a variety of avian species in this serene setting. After a rewarding day of trekking and exploration, you'll settle in for the night, enjoying the tranquility of Ghasa and its natural beauty.
8Day 08-Ghasa to Marpha [2,680m/8,792ft]: 4-5hrs
From Ghasa, you'll embark on a steep climb through lush forests, eventually reaching the Lete Khola. Continuing along the trail, you’ll arrive in the village of Lete, where you can take a moment to enjoy the scenery. Next, the trek leads you to the east side of the Kali Gandaki River, bringing you to Larjung Village. From Larjung, you’ll cross the trail to Tukuche at 2,590 meters, where you’ll pass through expansive apple orchards that supply the region with delicious apples and vegetables. Your journey continues to Marpha Village, known for its charming white-washed houses and apple production. This vibrant village is a great place to rest and explore, with its rich culture and stunning mountain views. You’ll spend the night in Marpha, soaking in the local atmosphere and preparing for the next leg of your adventure.
9Day 09-Trek from Marpha to Yak Kharka (3680m)
Today’s trek will be a shorter and more leisurely one, allowing you to rest and recharge after previous days of hiking. You’ll start your walk early in the morning, with a planned duration of about 5-6 hours. As you make your way toward Yak Kharka, you’ll enjoy the beautiful landscapes and the tranquility of the surrounding nature. This peaceful spot is perfect for a day’s rest. Once you arrive, you can relax and take in the stunning views, and you’ll stay overnight at a cozy lodge, preparing for the adventures that lie ahead.
10Day 10-Trek from Yak kharka to Dhampus Base Camp (5100m).
From Yak Kharka, your trek will take you through stunning alpine vegetation, surrounded by magnificent views of towering peaks as you make your way to Dhampus Peak Base Camp. The trail features a gradual ascent, allowing you to acclimatize as you journey toward your destination. Once you arrive at the Dhampus Base Camp, you’ll find a well-suited site for setting up your camp. Your team will quickly get to work setting up the tents and making preparations for the climb ahead, ensuring everything is in order for your ascent into higher altitudes. Take some time to soak in the breathtaking scenery and rest before the next phase of your adventure begins!
11Day 11-Rest day and acclimatization day
Today is a crucial rest and preparation day at Dhampus Base Camp, allowing you to acclimatize and avoid altitude sickness. It’s essential to be both physically and mentally fit for the upcoming climb to the summit of Dhampus Peak. You can spend the day exploring the beautiful surroundings of the base camp, enjoying the stunning mountain views and taking in the serene alpine environment. Meanwhile, your expert team will conduct thorough checks on your climbing gear and make preparations for moving the camp to a higher altitude at 5,600 meters. Use this time to rest, hydrate, and mentally prepare for the challenges ahead, ensuring you’re ready to tackle the ascent with confidence!
12Day 12-Dhumpus base camp to High Camp (5600m)
After a restful preparation day, you’ll continue your trek toward High Camp, navigating through glaciated mountain passes that offer breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The trek may be challenging, but the stunning scenery will motivate you along the way. Upon reaching High Camp, your expert team will swiftly set up the camp and conduct final checks on your climbing gear to ensure everything is ready for the summit attempt. Take this time to rest, refuel, and mentally prepare for the exciting climb ahead. The summit of Dhampus Peak awaits, and with your preparations complete, you’ll be ready to take on the challenge!
13Day 13-Submit to Dhumpus base camp (6012m):
Today is the day of celebration as you aim for the summit of Dhampus Peak! You’ll start early, with the goal of reaching the top before midday to avoid the strong afternoon winds that can hinder your ascent. Following the guidance of your experienced climbing experts, you’ll navigate several technical sections of the climb. As you approach the summit, the anticipation builds, and once you reach the top, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views of Annapurna 1, Annapurna 2, Annapurna 3, Annapurna 4, Annapurna South, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri South and North, Tilicho Peak, Tukuche Peak, and many other stunning snow-capped mountains. After spending some quality time at the summit, taking in the incredible vistas and capturing photos, you’ll begin your descent, following the same route back to base camp. Celebrate your achievement with your team and relish the memories of this remarkable day!
14Day 14-Trek to Yak Kharka (3680m). walk approximately 5-6 hours.
After your memorable summit of Dhampus Peak, you'll begin your trek back to Yak Kharka, located at 3,680 meters. The journey will take approximately 5-6 hours, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful landscapes and reflect on your recent achievement. As you descend, take in the stunning views of the surrounding peaks and the changing terrain. The trail will lead you through alpine scenery, and you may encounter local flora and fauna along the way. Once you arrive at Yak Kharka, you can relax and recover from your climb, enjoying a well-deserved evening at the lodge.
15Day 15-Trek to Marpha (2670m). walk approximately 5-6 hours
Today, you'll trek from Yak Kharka to Marpha, situated at 2,670 meters, with the journey taking approximately 5-6 hours. As you descend, the trail will lead you through scenic landscapes, transitioning from the alpine environment to more cultivated areas. You'll pass through charming villages and may have the chance to interact with locals along the way. Enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys as you make your way to Marpha, known for its whitewashed buildings and vibrant apple orchards. Upon arrival in Marpha, you can explore the village, sample local apple products, and relax in the cozy lodge, reflecting on your adventure in the mountains.
16Day 16-Trek to Jomsom (2710m). walk approximately 4-5 hours
Today’s trek will take you from Marpha to Jomsom, located at 2,710 meters, with a walking duration of approximately 4-5 hours. The trail is relatively straightforward, winding through picturesque landscapes and following the Kali Gandaki River. As you trek, you’ll enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and the unique terrain of the region. Jomsom is a bustling town known for its apple orchards and as a gateway to the Annapurna region. Upon arrival in Jomsom, take some time to explore the town, visit local shops, and perhaps enjoy a meal at one of the local eateries. You’ll have a chance to relax and reflect on your incredible trekking experience as you prepare for the next phase of your journey.
17Day 17-Jomsom to Pokhara by flight
After a hearty breakfast, you’ll check in at the airport for your dramatic 30-minute flight back to Pokhara, flying between the majestic peaks of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. Upon arrival at Pokhara airport, your guide will transfer you to your lakeside hotel. You’ll have the rest of the afternoon to leisurely explore the beautiful Pokhara valley. Stroll along the banks of Phewa Lake, Nepal's second-largest lake, and admire the stunning reflection of Machhapuchare (Fish Tail Mountain) in the water. You can choose to take a boat ride on the lake or embark on a one-hour walk to the World Peace Pagoda, which offers breathtaking views of the valley and surrounding mountains. In the evening, feel free to explore the vibrant lakeside area, enjoying local shops and eateries. You’ll spend the night at your hotel, reflecting on your incredible journey.
18Day 18-Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu.
After breakfast, you'll embark on a scenic 200-kilometer drive back to Kathmandu. Be sure to sit on the left side of the vehicle for the best views along the route, as you'll pass through beautiful landscapes and charming villages. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you'll be transferred to your hotel. Once settled in, you can take some time to trade emails with your travel companions and organize your photos from the trip. The evening is yours to enjoy at your leisure—consider catching up on some last-minute shopping in the vibrant Thamel district or simply relaxing. You can also celebrate your adventure with a farewell dinner together with the staff, reflecting on the incredible experiences you shared. You’ll spend the night in Kathmandu, concluding your memorable journey.
19Day 19-Final departure.
As your journey in Nepal comes to a close, you’ll say goodbye to the majestic mountains. A representative from our company will meet you at your hotel and take you to the airport approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight. We hope you thoroughly enjoyed your trek and created lasting memories. As you make your way home, you’ll have plenty of time to reflect on your experiences and start planning your next adventure in the wonderful country of Nepal.
