Seasons: The best times to undertake the Annapurna Circuit Trek are from March to May and September to mid-December. Upon arriving at Kathmandu International Airport, you'll be warmly welcomed by the Nepal High Point staff and guide. Following this warm reception, you’ll be transferred to your hotel located in the heart of Kathmandu city. After settling into your rooms and refreshing yourself, you will join a group briefing session. During this informative meeting, your guides will provide essential details about your stay in Nepal, including information about the trek, local lodges and hotels, cultural insights, and other important aspects related to your trekking adventure.
During your time in Kathmandu, you'll have the chance to explore the valley's rich array of world heritage sites and historical monuments. Your sightseeing tour will include visits to Pashupatinath Temple, a sacred Hindu site dedicated to Lord Shiva, situated on the banks of the Bagmati River. You'll also visit Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest and most important stupas in Nepal, known for its impressive size and spiritual significance to Tibetan Buddhism. The journey will take you to Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the Monkey Temple, which offers panoramic views of Kathmandu and a glimpse into the city's vibrant spiritual life, thanks to its resident monkeys and ancient stupa. Lastly, you'll explore Patan Durbar Square, a historical palace complex renowned for its exquisite architecture, intricate wood carvings, and rich cultural heritage.
Morning a long and interesting overland journey from Kathmandu to reach Nepal Mid-West around Lamjung district at Besar town and then towards Manang areas, where drive leads to Syange by the bank of Marysangdi River, with climb from here for few hours to reach a nice village at Jagat, after a refreshing stop at Jagat continue drive on gradual winding trail with superb views of Annapurna and Manaslu mountain ranges to reach at Chyamje for overnight stop

As you make your way towards Tamang village, you'll start to experience the rich Buddhist culture of the region and catch your first views of the majestic Mt. Manaslu, standing tall at 8,163 meters. Continue towards Tamang village, where you’ll start to encounter more Buddhist cultural influences and enjoy views of the towering Mt. Manaslu (8,163 m). After crossing Timing village, a few hours of walking will bring you to Koto. From Koto, proceed to Chame, the major town and administrative headquarters of the Manang district, where you’ll spend the night.
The adventure progresses into cooler areas as you trek closer to the mountains, transitioning into picturesque alpine forests of rhododendron and pine. Following the Marsyangdi River upstream, you'll navigate a trail with some short ascents and descents, leading to the charming village of Bhratang. From Bhratang, the path continues uphill through lush pine woodlands, offering views of the Chulus and Pisang peaks. After a lunch break, the trail descends to the lower Pisang village, where you’ll stay overnight.
In the morning, the trek from Pisang village leads you through tall pine and rhododendron trees, with short uphill sections offering stunning views of Annapurna II and III, Gangapurna, Chulus, and Pisang Peak. As you continue, you'll arrive at Hongdae village, where the landscape transitions to barren, dry, and arctic conditions. Before reaching Manang, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the ancient Braga Monastery, known for its Buddhist relics. A final hour of walking brings you to Manang village, where traditional Tibetan-style houses reflect the rich culture and traditions of the local people.
A necessary rest day for acclimatization is planned before continuing to higher elevations. Spend the day exploring Manang village, beautifully situated beneath the Annapurna and Gangapurna mountain ranges. Use this time to visit the serene Manang Glacial Lake and adjust to the altitude, ensuring a smoother transition as you proceed with your trek.
After a pleasant rest in Manang, you’ll set out in the morning on a gradual uphill path towards Gesang village, eventually heading to Yak Kharka. As you gain altitude, enjoy spectacular views of snow-capped mountains. The route crosses a small stream, leading you to Yak Kharka, a small settlement renowned for its stunning vistas of Gangapurna, Annapurna III, and Chulu Peaks.
In the morning, your adventure continues as you head to higher elevations, climbing along the riverbank to reach Thorang Phedi, the base of the Thorang-La Pass. From here, a steep ascent for about an hour will take you to Thorang High Camp, where you'll stay overnight in preparation for the challenging crossing of the Thorang-La Pass.
Today's adventure features the highlight of your trek: an early breakfast sets you up for a challenging ascent to the Thorang-La Pass, situated at an altitude of 5,416 meters. Here, you'll be rewarded with a breathtaking panorama of snow-capped peaks, marking the highest point of your journey. After taking in the stunning views and celebrating your achievement, you’ll begin a long descent to Muktinath, located at 3,800 meters. Muktinath, a revered site for both Hindus and Buddhists, is known for its spiritual significance, with the name "Muktinath" meaning "the place for Nirvana or Liberation." You'll spend the night in Muktinath, soaking in the sacred atmosphere of this holy site.
After exploring Muktinath, where the trek concludes for the day, you'll shift to a more comfortable mode of travel. With the road now accessible to Muktinath via Jomsom, the journey becomes easier as you descend approximately 1,200 meters down to the Kaligandaki River valley. You'll drive to Jomsom, the administrative center of the Mustang region, featuring a small airstrip nestled above the Kaligandaki River. From Jomsom, the drive continues past Marpha, a picturesque village, and further into warmer regions. You'll traverse the Kaligandaki River Gorge, renowned as the world's deepest gorge, flanked by the towering Dhaulagiri and Annapurna peaks. The scenic drive eventually leads you to Tatopani village, renowned for its natural hot springs. Here, you can unwind and rejuvenate in the soothing waters, providing a refreshing end to your day.
After a refreshing stop in Tatopani, your morning journey begins with a walk across a bridge over the Kaligandaki River. The route then takes a steep climb up terraced hillsides dotted with charming farm villages. As you navigate through the steep sections and alpine forest, you'll continue along a more gradual path through the villages of Ghara and Sikha, eventually reaching Chitre. From Chitre, a final steep climb leads you to Ghorepani village. Here, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking views of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, and Vara-Shikar (also known as Annapurna Fang), providing a stunning backdrop to your overnight stay.
Early in the morning, embark on a rewarding hour-long hike to Poon Hill at 3,210 meters. This vantage point offers spectacular sunrise views over a stunning range of mountains, including Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Manaslu, Annapurna, and the iconic Mt. Machhapuchare, also known as "The Fish Tail." After savoring the breathtaking sunrise, return to Ghorepani and continue your trek downhill to Birethanti. From there, a few hours' drive will take you to Pokhara, where you’ll enjoy an overnight stay by the scenic shores of Phewa Lake, completing a memorable day of adventure.
After an early breakfast, embark on a scenic drive back to Kathmandu. The journey departs from Pokhara, either in a tourist coach or private vehicle. As you travel, you'll pass through charming farm villages and towns, following the Trisuli River from Mugling Bazaar. The route then ascends winding roads into the Kathmandu Valley. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your respective hotels. Alternatively, you may opt for a 30-minute flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu for a quicker return.
On your final day in Nepal, following an incredible adventure on the Annapurna Circuit trek with Nepal High Point Trekking, you'll be transferred from your hotel to Kathmandu International Airport. Our staff will assist you with your departure, ensuring a smooth transition as you head home or continue to your next destination.
